D2.6: Presentation of virtual
demonstrators
Summary
P2Endure is a European research project funded under the EU programme H2020-EE-2016-PPP
(supporting accelerated and cost-effective deep renovation of buildings through Public-Private
Partnerships (EEB PPP). The project aims to improve the availability and performance of energy saving
solutions for deep renovation and transformation of vacant, obsolete or sub-optimal public buildings into
dwellings promoting evidence-based innovative solutions for deep renovation based on prefabricated
Plug and- Play systems in combination with on-site robotic 3D-printing and BIM demonstrated and
monitored at 11 real projects, 2 virtual demonstrators in 4 geo-clusters with EU-wide replication
potentials.
The aim of this demonstrator report is to introduce the P2Endure e-Marketplaces and the integrated
parametric modeller. This consists of presenting three virtual demonstration projects in order to explain
how the software works. These virtual projects are based on real P2Endure demonstration projects.
Using the parametric modeller, the energy values of the Building Energy Models (BEM) are analysed and
displayed within the e-Marketplace. The analysis is first carried out on the as-is-BEMs of the respective
virtual demonstration projects. The as-is BEMs represent the initial situation of the respective construction
projects before the renovation.
The e-Marketplace also contains building elements that can be added to the renovation project. This
allows the as-is BEM to be adapted to the renovation project and then analysed. Before we introduce the
functionality of the e-Marketplace and the integrated parametric modeller using as-is BEM and the
adapted BEM, a general explanation of the e-Marketplace is given.
